I am Leona, a passionate recruiter with a love for God and a drive to build a more resilient workforce while increasing diversity in HR leadership through storytelling. I was born in San Diego, California, to Nigerian parents. I am pursuing my Master's in Human Relations at the University of Oklahoma, which has fueled my dedication to applying psychological and sociological principles to enhance organizational performance and employee well-being in a new economy driven by fast-paced technology.
With over seven years of experience in the recruiting industry, my mission is to infuse passion and self-worth into recruiting. This has been my advocacy throughout my career and time at Google. Despite facing personal challenges, I have learned to rely on building resilience, innovating, and creating career-driven strategies that have fueled my determination to navigate adversity and overcome obstacles not just in my personal and work life but also in creating a workforce that is passion-driven, service-oriented by leading through empathy, effective and efficient through human collaboration and sound communication.
